Charter Rotary Club of Minnesota Veterans
First Meeting - September 12, 2019

Kelly Sater shared information on the newest club to form in Minnesota for and honoring Minnesota Vets:
"We are a group of Veterans living in Minnesota who are actively in the process of organizing / becoming chartered as a service club within Rotary International.  Our sense of service derives from military core values of "Service before Self"  that parallels those of Rotary International "Service above Self."
Service includes: actively caring for one another and our extended families - especially during times of hurt; serving in our communities - youth, civic organizations, schools and the elderly; duly honoring other veterans & their families - especially during times of grief; and serving those in area/regions where we have served, such as projects in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, etc. "

This will be the first Rotary Club for veterans serving veterans in the world!  Our president, Gary White, will lead our first first meeting on 12 September in Edina. The meeting will include an introduction to Rotary and an open discussion of our guiding principles - Camaraderie, Service, and Peace - along with sharing ideas for projects or events we would like to participate in.  Come see what this new club is all about.  We have 25 charter members as our application went to Rotary.  We are actively seeking more veterans to join.  Local Edina Rotary Clubs are providing support to get this new club launched.
