Author and Speaker Sumi Mukherjee published his first book titled “A Life Interrupted – the story of my battle with bullying and obsessive compulsive disorder” in July 2011.  His second book published in July 2014, is titled “Father Figure – my mission to prevent child sexual abuse”. His third book titled “How to stand up to workplace bullying and take on an unjust employer” was published in Jan 2017. Since October 2011, Sumi has been speaking to hundreds of people around the country so others can benefit from his stories. Sumi has spoken to teachers, counselors, administrators, social workers, school psychologists, mental health professionals, family members, caregivers, service providers, law enforcement professionals, students, parents, and the general audience. He has spoken at schools, colleges, universities, religious organizations, bullying prevention conferences, other professional conferences (including School Social Workers Association conferences, School Psychologists Association Conference, Counseling Association Conferences, State Psychological Association Conferences), child abuse prevention conferences, domestic violence/sexual abuse/mental health awareness events. Sumi has spoken extensively all over Minnesota as well as in a number of other states around the country including AL, AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MO, MT, NC, ND, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, and WV. He has also spoken in Montreal, Canada in 2016. His next presentation is scheduled for Feb 15, 2018 at a conference of the ACSA (Association of California School Administrators) in Anaheim, CA. His presentations are broadly focused on cultural diversity and social justice with specific focus on long-term impact of bullying (including workplace bullying) and on prevention of child sexual abuse.  Sumi was born in Calgary, Canada, and grew up in Minneapolis, MN.
