Gary Smith has contributed greatly to Athletic Training in Minnesota and to the Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association.

Gary has served as head trainer for the Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota Moose and Minnesota Kicks; his most famous gig was that of the trainer for the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” U.S. men’s hockey team. He is involved with concussion protocol and will be part of the Super Bowl 52.
