Rotary Book Sale

Fundraising is key to Rotary's support for our community. We hold our celebrated Giant Used Book Sale twice a year (fall and spring) with the cooperation of  Nanaimo North Town Centre.
 
The next sale will be March 21 - 30, 2025..... see you there!
Focus on Education and Literacy: Legacy of a Famous Book Sale in Nanaimo
September is Rotary International’s Basic Education and Literacy Month. This month highlights the importance of literacy and its goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. Education and literacy are essential for reducing poverty, improving health, encouraging community and economic development and promoting peace.
 
The Rotary Club of Nanaimo maintains basic education and literacy as one of its main areas of focus and in support of that and other important community initiatives in the region, the club holds its now famous fundraiser, the Rotary Book Sale in the spring and fall each year.

Our fall book sale at Nanaimo North Town Centre  was a great success. Thanks to everyone for supporting this community event.

Members, friends and family proudly volunteer for this popular event. Proceeds from this sale benefit a variety of charities, local schools and projects in our community.

We rely on our community to donate good quality used books to our sale. Donations can be dropped off at our bins located at the Northeast entrance to Nanaimo North Town Centre Mall across from London Drugs.
