Centennial Golf Tournament

We continued our centennial year with a 100 year themed golf tournament at the Nanaimo Golf Club. Members were encouraged to dress in period costumes and the few who joined in the spirit brightened up the dark rainy skies.
Those who participated in the golf game had a great time and all met for a new member induction and dinner afterward.
100 Laps for 100 Years

In lieu of a May 1st Gala Celebration, President Elect Bob Janes completed 100 laps for 100 years at our Rotary Bowl, home of the Nanaimo and District Track and Field Club. Members proudly cheered for Bob as he ran a solo 40km marathon as a fundraiser for the Nanaimo Foundation’s Covid 19 Relief Fund and the Rotary Foundation. Completed in just over four hours, members joined Bob on lap 101, waving our Rotary flags and celebrating together.
