NACL Squastober Oct 25

Our club members gathered at Nanaimo Association of Community Living (NACL)'s Evanmorr farm to help serve clients and caregivers in mid-October. The "Squashtober" event was full of fun and laughter as all enjoyed a baked potato bar and farm-raised applesauce and pumpkin pudding. Before the event we were able to explore the farm and see the results of our donations, including an irrigation system and bear-proof fence. Building on our club's previous partnership and projects with NACL, our current project adds another phase to their development of a therapeutic farm to support adults with Developmental Disabilities. Specifically, this project improved accessibility to the barn, wash and pack station for people with mobility challenges through upgrades to the road and driveway.
