As Rotarians, we have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community--even around the world. We give time, talent, and treasure to make the world better. We give our time and talent through our service work, using our skills and good fortune to help those less fortunate. And we give our treasure through our philanthropic support for the effective work of charitable institutions that save lives every day, all around us.
As a member of Boise Rotary Sunrise Club, I am proud of my club and its members--we made 26 grants in 2020. We are helping families in need to have a warm bed and a roof over their heads through CATCH. We are saving families who are lifted up by the Boise Rescue Mission. We are providing boys and girls with adult mentors and role models through Big Brothers Big Sisters. We are molding future leaders in business and civics through Girl Scouts. We are offering opportunities for the girls of Gorongosa to become self-actuated entrepreneurs. We are nurturing hope and love for the kids of Hope House. And we are doing so much more, still--by giving generously. By registering for and participating in Lobsterfest.
