Money_CC 401kcalculator.orgThe Greater Boise Rotary Foundation awards about $40,000 a year to Ada County nonprofit organizations. And it's time for organizations seeking large grants ($10,000-$25,000) to start the application process for projects they'd like the GBRF to fund. So pass this information to your favorite nonprofit and let them know about this fabulous opportunity! The first step is for your favorite nonprofit to submit a letter of inquiry by midnight on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Members of Ada County Rotary clubs, including our Eagle/Garden City club, have contributed to the GBRF. Since 1984, this nonprofit has pooled and invested the contributions to support local projects that benefit the arts, education and youth, health and social services, and the outdoors and recreation. Grants are awarded in two cycles:

  • Large grants ($10,000-$25,000) — Interested nonprofits submit letters of inquiry by the October deadline (Oct. 10 this year). These letters are reviewed by the GBRF, and selected organizations are invited to submit a full proposal in November. Recipients of large grants are chosen and notified in December. Grant reports are due the following September.
  • Small grants ($500-$3,500) — Interested nonprofits submit applications in March.

Organizations that have been awarded grants in the past include the Girl Scouts, Garden City Library Foundation, Boise Watershed, Idaho Historical Society, Genesis Community Health and many more.

Don't let your cherished cause pass up this opportunity for valuable funding. Make sure you email this information to your nonprofit today!
