Aug. 07, 2021 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Fellow Rotarians, Interacters, and Roteracters, This Saturday we have been asked to assist Trail Mix with the spreading of gravel on the Switzer Creek Trail from 9:00 am till 2:00 pm. The old trail was too close to the creek so we are rerouting it. There is a large pile of gravel at Lund Street that we will need to spread along the trail. Please bring your own shovel if you can and a good wheelbarrow. There will be extras in case you do not have these items. Parking is best at the Sunset Street Trailhead. We invite all JGR members, Interacters, and Rotaract of Juneau. You can come anytime between 9 am and 2pm and all help is appreciated. Trail mix requires that you go online to their website and sign a Volunteer Liability waiver : 2021 Volunteer Waiver (smartwaiver.com) If you have any questions please contact me Nico Bus at 907-209-2162, or nicowbus@gmail.com Thank you and I am looking forward to seeing you this Saturday for good Rotarian Fellowship and Community Service. Nico

Juneau Gastineau Rotary has been hosting its annual auction that has been evolving and growing over the years. One of the main beneficiairies of this event is The Rotary Foundation, where raised funds benefit many local and global projects in upon which Rotary International focuses: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies. Local projects vary from district to district, however all are centered around improvement and needs of those local communities. Additionally, Juneau's youth has also benefitted in supporting the many programs and scholarships provided locally. Our projects in Juneau have benfitted many youth, individuals in need, and the community as a whole. Your generosity during this event is literally felt from one to thousands of miles away. Thank you for joining us at our annual silent and outcry auction! Our silent auction will begin on Thursday, November 11th at 7 AM, and will end with our outcry auction being held on Friday, November 19th, cocktails and auction browsing at 5:30 PM, bidding to commence at 6:30 PM. All auction bidding will occur on line (details soon to follow), and the event welcomes both in-person and virtual guests! |
