The presentation by the Vocational Services team provided an overview of several meaningful community initiatives and partnerships supported by our Club.
The presentation highlighted organizations including Home YICAP, Prospect Homes, Bow Valley College, and SAIT, all of which are making a positive impact through education, housing, and community support programs.
We also learned more about Aventa, an organization that has supported women in transition since 1970 through counselling services, intensive support programs, and educational scholarships that help women rebuild and move forward with confidence.
In addition, the presentation featured Windmill Microlending, a Calgary-based organization that assists internationally trained immigrants and refugees by providing affordable loans to help them gain Canadian credentials and continue their professional careers.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate the important role community partnerships play in creating opportunity, empowerment, and lasting positive change.
