Sue: Happy for the healthcare system – her daughter in law is spending a few days in the IWK sick from her pregnancy, and getting great care. Also happy that it is 28 degrees for her today!
Ellen: Happy her daughter started work today in family practice in Kingston.
Pete: a moment of silence for the Ukrainians.
Jennie: Happy to be at a meeting in person. Happy for two things, that her and her husband have recently become permanent residents of Canada (no more work visas!). Also, that her parents are visiting this month, seeing them for the first time in years.
Peter: Did the Coldest Night of the Year walk in Wolfville (lots of people in the Kentville walk!) and got to speak to a man holding a Ukrainian flag.
Shelley: Amazing that one year ago she sold CBI - Kings Physio.
Matt: Happy for two things – Kings Physio has really been helping with his recovery, and that the building inspector at the County was so easy to work with, after what he has heard it was a great experience!
President’s Report
Bill is looking into a stand alone meeting on a Monday evening to discuss/ present the club’s strategic plan.
Classification Talk – New Member Trish Rafuse. Jeff briefly introduced Trish.
Trish outlined her life and work and passions here in the Valley. She is very excited to be joining the Club and finding her niche in club service.
Bill then presented Trish with her membership package and officially welcomed her (in person) to the club!
Illness Report:
Matt- happy to have him back!
Randy – Rick forwarded the email from Randy to the membership.
Heather Lohr lost her older brother recently, our condolences to her and her family.
Committee Reports:
Breakfast Baking – Brian – April 12th and May 10th are the next two bakes, starts at 5pm.
Centenary – Ellen – meeting next week on Monday after the club meeting.
Covid – Ellen also mentioned that in terms of health care, some restrictions will still be in place past March 21.
Community Services – Pierre – after the meeting there was the opportunity to pick a project for the environmental day of service.

What is Our Grant Model Designed to Do?
- Simplify Foundation programs and processes consistent with the mission;
- Focus Rotarian service efforts where they will have the greatest impact by addressing priority world needs that are relevant to Rotarians;
- Offer program options to help achieve both global and local goals;
- Increase the sense of ownership at the district and club levels by transferring more decisions to the districts; and
- Gain greater understanding of The Rotary Foundation’s work and enhance Rotary’s public image
The Rotary Foundation is continuing to make a difference in our world!
