Illness Report: Greg heard from Al Mutch that Fred had his procedure and hopefully was home by now.

The club were then able to watch a draft video on physician recruitment the Chamber had put together, it was terrific!
The members asked some questions about attractions and promotion of the area and the housing market – the Chamber is working with the REN and the County on those things.

President’s Report:
Bill updated everyone that he had spoken to Heather Lohr and she is working on a draft of the Strategic Plan and hopefully we should have more detail by the business meeting at the end of the month.
Committee Reports:
Valley Faces – Phil let the members know that there is a VF committee meeting on February 4th at 10am. If you have any theme suggestions email Phil. More information will be out to the club after that meeting.

What is a Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship?
Established in 1947, the original Ambassadorial Scholarship program was designed to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries. With the launch of the Rotary Grants model, scholarships are now used to fund study by graduate students whose career goals support one or more of Rotary’s areas of focus. The funding is the same as a humanitarian global grant with a minimum scholarship amount of US$30,000. Upon returning home, Rotary Scholars share with Rotarians and others their experiences that led to a greater understanding of their host country, and what career they will go into in order to meet the seven areas of focus and spread good will and understanding.
