Our spring fundraiser was a great success and offered seasoned crawfish, shrimp, red beans and rice, hot dogs and more. This event started as a social event but has become one of two annual fund raisers for the Club's Foundation.
Club members with the culinary skills of Lighthouse Charities spend a Sunday at Moody Gardens hosting hundreds of guests to an afternoon of zydeco music and delicious food. The afternoon includes a dance contest, an eating contest (how fast not how many), and great fellowship. Money raised is returned to the community in response to grant requests that are received by the Club Foundation. The Club couldn't do it without the support from the following sponsors and friends: Dr. Leon Bromberg Charitable Trust, Galveston Daily News, Fred Raschke (Mills Shirley), Sally Byrom, Joe Tramonte Realty, Del Papa's, Moody Gardens, Lighthouse Charities, and this year, Katie's Seafood.
