Rotary Club of Galveston Foundation Scholarship recipients recognized at club meeting on AUGUST 19, 2020. President-Elect Mary Brechtel introduced and recognized STORM SIMONIN and CALEB SMITH as this year's very deserving scholarship winners. They were each awarded a $1,500.00 scholarship.
STORM, who graduated this year from Ball High School, was ranked 10th in his class of 474 students, and will attend Austin College and major in psychology/ pre-med track.
CALEB is a home-schooled student with a 3.96 GPA and will attend Galveston College this year and then transfer next fall to Texas Tech and major in mechanical and environmental engineering.
Congratulations to each of them for all the hard work they put in to earn these scholarships. We know they will go on to have fine college careers and some day soon will enrich their communities with an attitude in keeping with our Rotary motto of "Service Above Self."
