Nancy S. Mikeska is a 1987 honor graduate of Texas A&M, and a 1992 graduate of South Texas College of Law.  She began her career in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office as a felony prosecutor.  Ms. Mikeska was called upon by then, Governor George W. Bush, to join his office in Austin.  At the Governor’s Office Nancy ran the largest division which included, federal funding for Texas, all aspects of criminal law initiatives, and the Texas Narcotics Task Force.  She worked closely with state legislators and leaders across Texas.   Ms. Mikeska left the Governor’s Office and joined Governor Bush on his campaign for President.  When President Bush went to Washington, Nancy returned to her home in Conroe and served County Judge Barb Sadler and the County Commissioners for 8 years as the Director of Community Development.  She was responsible for the construction of several large community centers in two county precincts.  In 2007, Nancy joined Conroe Mayor Tommy Metcalf’s team at the City of Conroe.   Nancy was recently promoted to an Assistant City Administrator and is the Director of Community Development.  Her responsibilities include Planning and Annexation; Municipal Utility Districts, Code Enforcement, Parks & Recreation, Human Resources, Transportation and the Federal Block Grant.  Nancy works closely with Mayor Czajkoski and all of the Council Members.  She is involved daily with Conroe’s growth and development.
