Gerhard Eschelbeck, head of cyber security at Google, was interviewed by Rotarian Bill Wilson on cyber security. He leads a staff of about 1,000 in protecting cyber data. Almost every day there is some kind of data lost, stolen, or compromised. There are usually two reasons this occurs – security patches are a must for users. Many people do not update their platforms; the second issue is the challenge with passwords. “password” and “123456” are still the most commonly used passwords. Security keys are being used to help with the password security issue.
