Next WeeK: Recent  Criminal Justice Reforms

Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen is a nationally-recognized leader in criminal justice reform.

As District Attorney, Mr. Rosen created an innovative and nationally acclaimed Conviction Integrity Unit to investigate innocence claims and implement the most professional practices in criminal prosecution.

Mr. Rosen established a Cold Case Unit to investigate unsolved murders and a misdemeanor diversion program for low-level offenders. He created a series of Family Justice Centers throughout the county, making sure domestic violence survivors had easier access to legal help and other resources. Inspired by the Brock Turner conviction, Mr. Rosen helped change the law in California to ensure prison sentences for those convicted of sexually assaulting unconscious and intoxicated victims.

Personal Talk-Tim Waidman
Tim was born in New York in 1969.  His family moved to the Bay Area when he was 5 years old.  He attended Los Altos High School and played Tennis.  Tennis has always been a calling for Tim having extended his tennis career to his college years at Vasser.  Today he spends 3-4 hours a week helping coach his two daughters, Mia and Ana who both attend Eaton Elementary School.  Tim met his lovely wife Kumi in 2001 and they wed in 2003.  After spending some time in New Orleans, Tim and Kumi returned to the bay area.  Kumi previously taught at Lynbrook High School and now teaches at Los Gatos High School.  Both Mia and Ana are fluent in Japanese, reading and writing…Tim shares they put him to shame! The Widman’s have two dogs they adore.  Tim is passionate about immigration law and started his own practice in 2014.  He very much enjoys living and working in the same community, Cupertino.
