About this Project (our &ldquo\;Why&rdquo\;): Recent surveys show that 37% of families i n Santa Clara Country are struggling from food insecurity while 40% of foo d goes to waste. Hunger at Home rescues food destined for our landfills by partnering with large organizations (Levi&rsquo\;s\, SJ Convention Center \, Shoreline\, hotels\, grocery stores\, Sysco\, etc) and repurposing the food collected to families in the community. So\, not only are we feeding the hungry but we are reducing methane and CO2 emissions by diverting food from our landfills.
