Cathy C. - Rotary Minute
Cathy shared additional details about her past Rotary trip to a Ukrainian Orphanage, 20 miles west of Kyiv. Rotary International's thoughts are with Rotarians in Ukraine and ask Rotarians to consider engaging in peace building projects.

Alexa R. - Clarification of the Zone Meeting payment: Event cost is $750; deposit is $75.
Alyssa O. - Tuesday, March 15 Happy Hour at Tuttle's at 5:30PM
Mark M. - Youth Exchange Program is back after a two-year hiatus. Looking for a host family for one student from Italy. School they will attend is TBD. St. Paul's Camp Ryla is back after two-year hiatus. Dates for this year's camp are April 8-12 for students in 10-12th grade.
Jerald S. - Polar Plunge is this Saturday, March 12th. Should have actual jump time by the end of today. 11 brave individuals have signed up and to date and have raised $4,598 for Special Olympics. Safety/Courage meeting will be at 10:30 at Tavern on 4 & 5. All welcome to attend.
Lenny N. - Twins Tour scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at Target Field. Currently 50 attendees. Suggested donation is $65. Contact Lenny or Bob if you are still interested as there is a wait list.
Chris R. - Rotary Foundation Update
Domestic: one grant approved for $500 for Minnetonka Serves and one grant is pending. International: no current grants but will connect with Florianne. Currently $13,680 is available in domestic fund and $3,809 is available in international fund.
Nancy D. - thank you letters received from Cookie Cart and ICA Food Shelf for Rotary's financial support of the ICA van.

Program
TREEHOUSE
Mark Magney introduced our speaker Sam Randall, the area Director of Treehouse. He oversees the local staff and programming/partnership for Hopkin’s West & Minnetonka High School & MME middle school. They emphasize youth development, mentorship, positivity, and support groups
Treehouse is over 40 years old, in 9 states and has 40 locations: from Mesa, AZ to
Grand Marais.
They are on a mission to end Hopelessness among teens.
The pandemic has exasperated hopelessness amongst teens.
If teens are unhealthy, mentally, and physically, so is their community. In contrast, If the teens are healthy mentally and physically, so is their community.
Ending hopelessness begins when a teen believes what is true and what is possible.
They have 4 main programs: Support Group, Connect, Mentoring & Next. Support Group helps them put words/vocabulary to their emotions.
