  • Nancy reminded us the Glen Lake Golf site was once used as the Polio and Tuberculosis Sanitarium sight from 1916-1976.
  • Free Bikes 4 Kids is this Saturday, Nov 10, see the Rotary website or Glen for further information
  • Rotary Board Meeting will be held on Nov 16 at the Hopkins Commons
  • Camp Enterprise was last week-end, we sponsored 2 participants. Char’s grand-daughter, Keeley, was one of our participants, she was on the winning team and received high praise from her coach.
  • Rick Seaburg has resigned from the club due to his travel/work schedule.
  • Ann, Carolyn and Nancy took our two exchange students last week-end to the Swedish Institute, it was lots of fun. Please plan to spend some time with our students this year.
  • Holiday Cart will be on Sunday, Dec 23, at Byerly’s at Ridgedale, more info will follow.
  • Toychest at Resource West will be on Dec 18, there will be 2 shifts, 3:30-5:00, and 5:00-7:00, more info will follow.
  • ICA Food shelf will be on Nov 17, see Glen for details.
  • Alexa has revamped our website, please visit the website to see the many improvements she has made. Thank you, Alexa.

  • Regina, she had on sparkly boots her son gave her for her birthday, along with a surprise visit
  • Carolyn, Pete is going to mentor her son
  • Tony, his kids had the opportunity to play football with Curt Cousins
  • Dane, he and his neighbors made sandwiches and delivered them to the people in Tent City, and he is going to Las Vegas this week-end
  • Terry, he was excited to see the youth that came out to vote this year
  • Char, Keeley had a great time at Camp Enterprise
  • Frank, the Gala for the American Refugee Committee is this week-end
  • Guy, Trish came back as a visitor and Patty Acomb won her new seat in the legislature
 
 
 
 

Our speaker today was Valerie from Senior Home Services. They work with the Senior Services in the twin cities. The provide aid to seniors, allowing them to stay in their homes.
