Mac H. gave the invocation for hope to the Rundquists.

Diedrich visiting our club from the Congo and studying computer science. Hoping for a Rotary Peace Scholarship.
Foundation Grants
 
Paul Babcock visitor from the MacPhail  music center to receive award from the Rotary Foundation. Nancy D. presented $2,000 to the center.
Fundraising
 
Jennifer announced cart pushing at Lunds and Byerlys on the 23rd signup. Very festive.
Announcements
 
Frank B. - Books for Africa 1/18/2020.
 
Darlyne E. - Saturday Sovereign Estates Winery 12/14/2019 for  a Rotary event.
Raffle
 
Floriane N. handled the raffle and Ben M. pulled winning ticket for $30.
Happy Bucks
 
Cathy Carlson was handling Happy Bucks.
 
Bill S. happy Cathy has returned.
 
Mary T. happy Ron went with grandson skiing who had never experienced snow, is 30 years old, went tobogganing and played in snow (Lives in AZ).
 
Lenny N. loved “inside Bill’s Brain” about Bill Gates. In it it lists the number two objective of Bill Gates rotary’s effort of polio plus.
 
Ben M. The lucky one thanked Cathy C. for her chair otherwise she would have won again.
 
Char M. misses Cathy C. and wishes to see Ben M sit somewhere else.
 
Mark Marlin commented he was the better looking of the two.
 
Jim M. lamented missing Rotary due to his children's need for his vehicle when returning home and he drew the short straw. His wife also threw a surprise birthday party which he enjoyed.
 
Regina R. had a post card for plaid which was the closest she would be to plaid.
 
Chris C.  visited Dr. Bob and ordered new specs he also found out he and Lenny N. hangout in the same arena on Saturdays for basketball games for kids.
 
Mark Magney moved Pau (foreign exchange student ) last weekend to the David and Kristine Eauly home. Pau also has credits transfer to his school back in Spain so he was proud he is doing so well with his classes.
 
Frank B. lamented that a cousin who resided in Nebraska passed away when Frank's long line of decedents were original pioneers settling the Plains.
 
Jerald S. had/was supposed to have a prior Rotarian as a guest (pastor Dan) but stated it must have been too early for the meeting.
 
Floriane N. also commented on Bill Gates and polio.
 
Bob H.  threw $10 in polio plus to remind us the gift will increase 17 times.
Also was happy to return from AZ where he was with his brothers. Also said his grandson started to speak in complete sentences so now everyone in the grocery store is greeted “Hi Bob”.
 
Chris R. visited Doc Bob and ordered new glasses.
 
Stacy Q. had her hair done by Carolyn A.
Program 
 
Cathy C. introduced JJ Flag from Adult and Teen Challenge.
 
They deal with addiction issues and are currently facing the opioid, heroin and meth crisis.
 
3,000 people are currently in the program.
 
450 are long term clients  cost per client is $1,182 per person per month.
 
Works with Mark Reyes for veteran affairs.
 
They need mentor volunteers.
 
The clients must receive a Rule 25 assessment for treatment length.

Fundraising
 
The meeting was ended with President Stacy informing us we had raised even more money for building responsible youth.
