Foundation Awards

Nancy D. presented $1500 to Sarah Grainger of Move Forward. Move Forward provides services to homeless and displaced teens.

Service Opportunity

Megan Cavanaugh gave a brief overview of the program at Minnetonka Middle School: Students studying states of matter have created booklets demonstrating their new understanding. Rotarians are invited to observe their presentations and enjoy snacks on Feb. 21 and 25. Check club website for sign up lists.

Program

Resource West - Tara

Located in Hopkins for 27 years providing services to over 3700 people last year. Services include job search assistance, housing coordination, emergency financial assistance, and child care assistance.

ICA - Patty

Food shelf services, with housing and employment assistance, wholistic approach.

New program to provide a mobile food shelf to apartment and assisted living clients.

Camp Enterprise -Katie and Dela, Hopkins High School juniors

Participated in the 3 day event last year. The camp is focused on team building around an entrepreneurial exercise to form a business and seek funding from venture capitalists.

Katie's group worked on a tracking app for golfers to locate their golf balls while playing a course. Dela's group project was to create a newly designed back pack.

Stacey presented our envelop gifts to Tara, Patty, Katie, and Dela, all seemed a little afraid of the light pen.
