Invocation by Mark Forsberg. Mark offered some quotes from the book Lighten Up. A child might say he ‘did nothing today’, but that doesn’t begin to describe all the many thoughts and experiences he/she had. ‘Nothing’ can mean so many things we experience in quiet moments. We are human Beings, not human Doings. Take care of yourselves, live in the moment. Recreation has a hyphen; it is more to Re-Create ourselves than to distract ourselves with being busy too much.

Announcements
Chris Carr - the Club Foundation approved $2000 for scholarships for the GED program that we support. It also has pending funding for The Cookie Cart. The International Committee also approved $2000 for a very worthy program, R.E.A.L. In Africa.
Alexa R. - the District Conference has been cancelled, at least in a live setting. The Zone Meeting at the MOA is still on for Sept 15-18. Price is $75 at this date.
Lenny N. - the Twins Tour is full at 50 participants, but a waiting list is still open. We may expand to 60 if Clyde approves.
Raffle
Raffle; a brand new pot and deck, and Dale F.’s number was drawn with just one ticket in his hand. The 1 in 53 were too high, no joker, and the game continues.

Program
Today’s vocational from Scott Nagel.
He has been a Realtor since 2004, after he left Cargill. He and his wife have very different memories of growing up; his with tools, projects and unfinished homes and hers with one tool in the tool box; a phone book. As Shakespeare says, “To Do or Not To Do” or As Sinatra says, “Doo-bee-doo-bee-do”
Scott mainly talked about 2 major projects with homes they bought in Mpls. There was far more work than they originally thought, and many hours of enjoyment (?), in finding creative solutions. The homes look very nice now, and as we heard, their marriage is still intact. Thanks, Scott, for a tour, and some hard learned lessons on what to look for In a home purchase.
