Program
Speakers; Jessie Baker and Carissa Blue from Munkabeans Coffee and Café in Hopkins.
Creating a Buzz around Hopkins since 1996
Jessie has owned it since 2013, following 7 previous owners. There was also a 2nd location in Shakopee, which they sold in 2019. (Good timing!)
Besides an overview and pictures of the shop, they talked about other community involvement. They open their doors to many Hopkins meetings, they support local artists by displaying their work. $15,000 in sales to help the art community. They often sell gifts , attend the Farmer’s Market, and of course make their famous banana bread. Almost 5000 slices this year.
Jessie and Carissa discussed their backgrounds in World Ministry, and have more goals to continue that work locally. Most everyone in the club has been in Munkabeans, and we drink their coffee at every meeting.
Thank you, Jessie and Carissa, for being an important presence in our community.
