Char M.  – Thank you note from a GED scholarship recipient – Michelle.

Nancy D.  – Foundation meeting last week approved Honduras water project grant and a family service grant.

Alexa R. – Reminder that nobody has turned in any meeting attendance make-ups.  Any committee chairs need to take attendance at meetings and turn that in.

Alex – Flight Squad event upcoming.  If you know something about it, let him know what you know.

Christine L  – Thank you to all who were at Resource West last night.  Friday is Rotary Day at the fair.

Stacey Q - Frank is absent the next couple of weeks, so need help with Sargent at Arms.

Chris C. – Evan Newman stayed with him last weekend.  Also happy to be here today.

Carolyn A. – Great event last week and thanks to Pete and Justin for helping.

Justin C.  – in-laws in town for the weekend.  They went to the fair and now the in-laws are gone…you decide which he’s happy about.

Alexa R.  – Cathy turned in a fraudulent make-up slip.  Free tickets available for Escape Room for 6 people, but need to be used in the next couple weeks.  Water heater broke when dad was in town, and they also went to the fair.

Frank B. – going to beautiful Monterey CA…mom turning 90.

Char M. – youngest sent daughter to kindergarten.

Christine L.  – went to the fair, rented a scooter…only two minor accidents hitting the turkey stand and drove over her friend’s toe.

Cathy C.  – going to see her surgeon and plans to white lie about what she hasn’t been doing appropriately for her rehab.

Mark M. – Pau has had a busy week.  Went straight to Excelsior fundraiser, signed up for football and then went to Kabetogema and caught 14 walleyes.  Now time for school!

Glen J. – daughter in-law is being freed up now that child is going to school.

Bill S.  – happy to join Mark and Pau for a get together last week.
Nancy D.  – happy to be on so many mailing lists…one was requesting bike counting help to the City.

Sam S. – daughter in town from AZ.  Grandson “farmer Bennett’ had a great week.  Family also in town.  Going to Bayfield for “Baystock” to take photos of hippies playing music.

Lenny N. – Evan has been out of the house for 3 weeks, and thanks to Chris for taking him in last weekend.

Dr. Bob H.  – Sad that guests left town.  Stopped into Culligan and asked if anyone knew Mark.  Grandson is 15 months old, watching him tomorrow solo.

Tony N.  – daughter turns 15 on Friday.  Daughter will be driving them to Valleyfair to celebrate.

Stacie Q.  – fantastic time in Ely last weekend, and at a cabin on Moose Lake, thanks to Christine for filling in on the invocation this morning, was relaxing in Wayzata and bumped into Frank, thanks to Sara for taking care of her daughter, and welcome to Pau.

Program

Speaker:  Chris Carr on the Golf Fundraiser
15-day countdown – September 12th

Jerald S. - Raffle
Raffle ticket sales are slow – very slow.
Go to other Rotary club meetings, many have been sold at these meetings.  Alexa will send out the link sign up for going to those meetings.
Turn in as many sold books as you can at the next two meetings before the fundraiser.
Must turn in both sold and unsold books.  We will sell tickets the day of the event too.

Cathy C. - Auction baskets.
Turn in your baskets before the tournament unless you are arriving at the tournament with an assembled basket.
Go to places that you do business and ask, and get logos that we’ll include for people to see at the silent auction.  Let Cathy know what you’re doing so the bid sheets and displays can be prepared.
If you have some paper bags at home, bring some.

Bill S. - Libations
We are in really good shape for libations – Excelsior, LTD, Unmapped, Wayzata Brew Works, Boom Island, Freehouse, Max Liquors, J. Carver Distillery

Alexa R. - Registration
14 sponsors
27 individual golfers
6 dinner-only registries
If we are going to do online registration, let’s commit to it because it’s a lot of work to build-out.

Dr. Bob H.  – Golf
Course is ready to go.  Recycling will be available.
Sign up in advance, please register online.
68 golfers that Bob H. knows about, he needs to reconcile to the online registrations.
If you or someone in your foursome needs a golf cart, call Glen Lake the day-of to reserve one.
If you’re sponsoring, make sure Chris C. gets your logo soon for course or website signage.
Need someone to stand at the hole-in-one hole to monitor the shots.
If you’re going to the event but not playing golf, be sure you register so that Culvers has the right amount of food.
Please sign up for volunteering to help.
