Happy Bucks

Happy Bucks were offered by Bill Sorteberg, Jerald Stiele, Terry Schneider, Mary Tambornino, Alissa Olson, Patty Acomb, Mark Magney, Alexa Rundquist, Lenny Newman, Nancy Davis, Mark Forsberg, and Nate Rundquist. People expressed their happiness to be with visiting family members, including those who are serving in our military overseas, or living abroad.

Alissa is a veteran skydiver, and was able to do a dive along with several others, with several hundred people at a charity event watching them as they came down right on target!

Program

We had a Club Assembly today, with President Nate leading a discussion of our various service areas and goals for this new Rotary year. Nate and other incoming officers in our district attended recent training events, and there is no doubt that the pandemic has been a big challenge for many clubs, as they have tried to keep up their activities and membership levels. Our club has been able to stay vibrant, due to the efforts of all our members. Per our treasurer Mac Hardin, our club is staying in good shape financially, and our per capita giving level to The Rotary Foundation is one of the best in our district. We hit our TRF giving goal of $25K or more for the previous Rotary year, per Chris Rosenlund.

Here are our various officer roles for club members for the new Rotary year:  President Elect: Mike Glover.  Secretary: Tony Newman. Secretary Elect: Patty Sinykin.  Visioning Committee: Jacob Millner (who is also Assistant Area Governor). Social Committee: Alissa Olson.  Community Service: Jennifer St. Clair.  Club Service: Mark Forsberg.  International Service: Glen Juntti.  Membership: Bill Sorteberg, plus other club members.  Public Image Committee: Alexa Rundquist.  Rotary Spoke: Mike Glover.  Youth Exchange: Mark Magney.  The Rotary Foundation: Chris Rosenlund.  Polio Plus: Lenny Newman and Char Murphy. Setup and cleanup for meetings continues to be done by Frank Babka and Cathy Carlson. The Minnetonka Rotary Foundation will continue to have 7 voting members. Fundraiser activities will continue to coordinated by a number of different club members, including Mark Marlin, Mike Glover, Ann Wengronowitz, etc.  Meanwhile, all of our club’s 50-some members contribute in different ways to making this a very good club. We had some discussions about planned activities at different tables during the meeting.
