Cathy C. - Keep an eye out for a Questionnaire from Rotary that will be sending out via email.  What works, what doesn’t, what you see as something new to try.  Not sure what the questions will be, but it’s important for membership to be heard!

Announcements

Upcoming events – not to be missed and always remember to go to ClubRunner for details.

10/25 Give Back Monday! @ LTD Brewing Happy Hour!  (6-8)  a % of sales are donated to Second Harvest Heartland.  That’s something drink about!

11/4 Thursday  evening 6-9pm.  – Charter Night @ Excelsior Commons – It’s our 31st birthday!  The planning committee (Cathy Carlson, etc.) is looking for any historical photos you might have.

Our youngest potential recruits and entertainers, Nolan & Bennett, made a fantastic presentation on why we should purchase popcorn and holiday decorations (wreaths, centerpieces, etc.  This is a fund raiser that allows kid’s to attend camps, and these two have attended 4!

Raffle

RAFFLE – Oops…no one won this time around.

Happy Bucks

Nate’s theme/question…what your favorite thing about fall is.

Darlyne E. – Father’s birthday was on Halloween and EVERYONE in family dressed up. Thus her semi-professional, sort of clown character.

Bob H. - was happy to hear all of the laughter in this group

Char M.  – October 1, 1971, was a memorable day as Char & her husband created a combined family of 5, which have created many happy memories and a lot of grandchildren!

Bennett R. – Cake!  That’s pretty straightforward.

Frank B.  – a good friend made her transition, and he will be able to attend her funeral.

Alexa R.  – I think she asked for (or affirmed) patience.

Ron U. - Last, but not least, we have two Raccoon Wrangler’s in our bunch.  Nate & Ron shared their separate adventures.  Ron & Mary waited out the adventure with a bottle of wine.  Alexa just stood at a distance and let Nate be the wrangler.   Mary said, “hey Ron let’s break out the wine and watch the show!”  I personally like that approach!

Program

SPEAKERS FOR THE DAY – Jacob Milner (District Representative) introduced Marianna Khauv – DG 2021-2022 and Lloyd Campbell DGE.

Polio report – currently only two known cases of Polio, Afghanistan and Pakistan.  Goal is to eradicate polio by 2024.  We are on our way!!!
