Mac H. – Sticks and stone may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. It’s more blessed to give than it is to receive. Rotary is fun but what do we do? We are committed to giving – daycare Mexico, picking up trash, push carts, loaves and fishes, plant trees, school supplies, ICA van, $30,000+ in polio funds, $40,000 from foundation, 2 blood drives, exchange students. We are blessed as givers.

Jerald S. – raffle sales at other clubs. Grab a couple more books. Please include a note in VENMO message that it is for raffle.
Mike G. /Jerald S. – golf tournament meeting last night at Tuttles. Things are going pretty well but we might be behind. We need more items. Think out of the box. Char raffles airport drop-off/pick-up. VENMO makes this really easy. Thanks to Jewelry Works for top sponsorship. We need hole sponsors - $200 and includes 2 guests for dinner. Chris R. is the point person for sponsors. Share on social media. Volunteer set-up – please confirm we have the right number of volunteers allocated. Bring your booze and get it to Ann. Remember that we fund the foundation through the tournament.

Has a really good relationship with Stephanie – Stephanie has a place in her heart for the district
This year will be a year of significant action. Waiting to do the job for 12 years. (Was president of club of downtown 12 years ago and that was the best year of her life).
She now owns her company and is able to do what she wants and it’s a dream to be District Governor
Minneapolis club has fostered her success in teaching her leadership and engagement. Has been studying sustainability of Rotary and plans to implement what she has learned.
Minnetonka – all time giving $467,640. We should get to $500,000 this year! This is a huge moment in the history of club. Minnetonka is a WOW club. 50 members currently. One of only 25% of the clubs that are growing. Minnetonka has 53,529 residents who are all potential members
In Rotary, the world is your oyster. 1.4M Rotarians who are friends and resources.
Rotary International has a $2B foundation. We are all in this together
This year we are going to do “Rotary Out Loud”! We need to preach how fabulous Rotary actually is. We are going to put a little Texas in our district and get louder
THIS YEAR:
First up – we are going to go to the State Fair and introduce ourselves (August 24) – registration will be open again on July 29 for late comers. Alissa will be in the parade. Come support her
Big membership campaign in September! All clubs will be running at the same time. We want to make a lot of noise (including media and billboards)
Sub Clubs – one of the fastest ways to grow rotary. Asking clubs to create new clubs within the club (allows members who are not able to get to the primary meeting to participate) – could include specialty clubs (wine, cigars, travel, Mississippi River, gardening, etc.)
