Program

Mikey introduced the speaker, Gretchen, who operates Teaming Up For Teens.

Overview of the Organization:

Team Up For Teens provides free hygiene products and several other necessities to West Metro youth that are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming unhoused.

They supply these items to schools in the Hopkins and Minnetonka districts, as well as to local nonprofit partners such as ResourceWest, MoveFwd, MyHealth, and ICA. They support 22 schools and nonprofits.

Their work is run completely through the efforts of volunteers.

They were founded in 2010 through the Hopkins Elks. They have since become a separate organization with 501c3 nonprofit status.

They have provided more than 8,500 hygiene packs over the years.

They host packing events several times a year and would welcome a group of Rotary members as volunteers at a packing event.
