Mike opened the meeting.
 
Guests
 
We had a couple of guests, Crystal Ballard, the Principal of Hopkins High School.
 
Scott Brink, a friend of Frank’s.
 
Paula, a past foreign exchange student of our club. She was an exchange student in 2001-2002. She was from Chile; she now lives in Canada (Toronto). She said because of her Rotary Foreign Exchange experience, she now has the confidence to do what she does.
 
Invocation
 
Sam shared an invocation, he read a prayer reminding us Spring is coming

Announcements
 
Bill S. - reminded us of the New Member event on May 2, there will be a planning meeting on March 28 at Bear Cave.
 
Lenny N. - reminded us of the tour of the U of M facilities on April 29. The cost will be $50 per person, or a contribution of your choice. The money raised will be for Polio Plus.
 
Jennifer S. - reminded us of the Hopkins Postal Drive-ICA event will be Sat, May 13 at Hopkins City Hall.
 
Nate R. - announced the May 23 Area 5 Happy Hour at Luce Line Brewery.
 
Raffle
 
Jim M. had the winning ticket for the raffle, he did not pull the winning card from the deck
 
Happy Bucks 
 
Char M. - was happy to meet the Hopkins High President on a social basis, versus on a need to know basis.
 
Sam S. - celebrated his birthday in Arizona, he got to spend time with his grand kids.  He was also thankful for the support he received from the club on his father’s passing.
 
Scott N. - had fun snowmobiling with his son in Hayward, Wisc and cross country skiing in MTKA.
 
Bill S. -  had fun at his son’s weddinging Mexico and celebrating his birthday.
 
Jim M.-  was excited to share that it was Gaia’s 7 month anniversary as an exchange student with our club.
 
Terry S. - had a great week in Belize.
 
Frank B. - was happy that his friend visited our club today.
 
Mac H.  -was happy he was never sent to the Principal’s office for his behavior, but he did have to visit the office on behalf of his son.
 
Jerald S. - is excited he and his family are leaving for Scotland.
 
Mark Magney - is back in town for a few days, he will be leaving again, soon. He will be going back out West for more skiing.
 
Mike G. - said he had coffee with Scott and had an enjoyable conversation.
 
Jennifer S. -  was excited the Principal was able to join us today.
 
Lenny N. said 3 generations of Newman’s have had to visit the Principals office, not always as a guest.
 
Bob H. - is in Arizona, enjoying his golf game
 
Program
 
Crystal Ballard was our speaker, she shared with us the vision of Hopkins High School, and her goals as a principal. Thank you for a wonderful presentation.
