3. Polio Race Day at Canterbury Park on Friday August 10 at 5:30 Tickets $10 buys your entry, hot dog and soda. The $10 comes back to our club for Polio

4.Pete Giancola selling tickets for Pottery event for women’s wig project/live auction

5.Donna sent around sign-up sheet Rotary social on August 3 at Brookview Golf and Lawn Bowling 6-9 free of charge

6. Jennifer announced Byerly’s cart pushing event to be on December 23

7.Char announced a reminder to get the basket content and value in to her by 8/20.There are many members who are not yet signed up to be on a basket committee.

8.Chris Carr encouraged us to get more sponsors for the golf outing ASAP

9.Alexa Rundquist announced that on line registration for the golf outing is up and

running. A couple of people have successfully used it.

10.Gerald reminded us that credit cards cannot be used for the raffle tickets but credit

cards are accepted on the on-line registration

SPEAKER presented today by Chris Carr

Wayne gave us information on Radon detection in our homes. He informed us on how to go

about finding what your radon levels are and how his company resolves the problems. He

answered many questions about keeping our homes safe from Radon and presented a packet

that offers a lot of details and information about this problem. Radon is the number 1 leading

cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and the number 2 cause overall.
