Rotary Minute - Cathy C.
 
Cathy Carlson presented Rotary Minute. Reminisced about history of club and of growth of Rotary internationally. Formation of our club was based on Friendship. We are a little bit of the whole picture.
 
Announcements
 
Tony N. - Read greeting from Rotarian from India talking about benefits of Rotary.
 
Bob H. - Two scheduled speakers both had COVID.
 
Tony N. - talked about alternatives to speaker.
 
Don C. - requested email notice of makeup attendance within a few days of completion.
 
Beth Y. -  fundraiser for Hopewell Music Cooperative North at her home on October 29th; thanked Rotary Foundation for donation to HMCN
 
Bob H. - wo community services events coming up.
November 1st Blood Drive: have 65-70 attending; asked for volunteers
Byerly’s/Lunds Shopping Cart volunteering on the Wednesday November 22. Four shifts from 1 to 6. Foundation receives $400.

October 24 District Open House for World Polio Day from 5-8 at Surley Brewery
October 28th at Monkabeans at 8:00 a.m. to drink coffee and hang out
November 16th at Bear Cave Brewing starting at 5 p.m.
December 2nd coffee at 8 am at Caribou next to Eisenhower Community Center
December 11th  Give Back breakfast at Hoagie’s in Hopkins at 7:30 a.m.
May do a gathering at Chanhassen Dinner Theater in the Spring

Scott Brink: happy to be leaving for Mexico for a week; volunteering for nonprofit doing work in Mexico

Valbona B: Happy husband is back from Florida with USA Fencing and for new job at US Bank

Nate R: happy for fourth grade football team of son and son’s success; happy that Spoke only takes Michael ½ beer instead of 4 as in past.

Tony asked that each table thinks about another member drive. Asked for email response with approval or disapproval and any ideas. Current membership is 46ish. Group spent time discussing.
