Happy Bucks
There was a mix up in the reporter today, and the reasons for happiness slipped by.
Program
4 Junior students from Wayzata HS, and their teacher.
The Topic was D.E.C.A. or Distributive Education Clubs of America. They presented their experiences and successes they have have had in local, state, and national competitions. They have been in DECA since their freshman year.
DECA prepares students for careers in many areas. They learn values, competence, innovation and teamwork. They learn to problem-solve and the skills employers are looking for.
All these remarkable students have excellent speaking skills and confidence. They al have received awards, right to the
national level.
Our club can get involved by becoming mentors in our specialties and serve as judges at competitions.
DECA fits right into our wheel house of Building Responsible Youth, and who knows, we might learn of few things from them.
Thank you to the students and their teacher for this excellent program today.
