Ron Earhart was our guest for the day
 
 
 
 
  • Thank yous to our club's hosts for the Progressive dinner.
  • Mark Marlin - Summer Fest is June 22, need more volunteers, must wear hat or hair net if serving.
  • Passing of the gavel will be held at the Moline on June 26.
  • GED Graduate scholarship receivers were Marc Katz and Rachel Ross, they each received $1000.  Our club finances the reception for the graduation ceremony as well as funding the scholarships from our club's efforts and donations.
  • Board of Directors meeting Friday June 21 at the Hopkins Commons.
  • Installation of District Governor Russ Michaletz is June 27 at the American Swedish Institute, Area 5 Assistant Governor Jacob Millner will be installed also.
  • Mayuka Asai returned safely to her home in Osaka, Japan, after spending 11 months in Rotary's Youth Exchange Program.
 
 
 
Chris Rosenlund presented the Paul Harris Fellow Award +4 to Ryan Johnson.
 
 
 
Char Murphy matches the numbers, but can't find the joker. 
 
 
  • Mac Hardin - after 6 days at Methodist Hospital, Kathy has been moved to Hillcrest to continue healing her broken leg.  Happy buck to Roger for being 'such a nice man!'
  • Dr. Bob - Won't be here for the next 4 weeks.  Lots of travel in his plans as well as searching out his ancestry.
  • Chris Rosenlund - Happy buck for hockey season.
  • Regina Reed - happy to be here.
  • Therese Kuvaas - both daughters are happy that school is over and dance begins.
  • Tony Newman - Happy buck for Alexa's car breaking down.
  • Mary Tambornino - Happy buck for her and Ron's 29th wedding anniversary.
  • Alexa Rundquist - Happy buck for no kids being in the car when it broke down and not having her cell phone on her to call for help.  Happy that even though the plumbers didn't put the furnace together correctly and her house flooded again, she is happy that it is now fixed.
  • Ron Usem - Happy buck for Mary signing the 1 year marriage contract with optional renewal, and that for 29 years she has continued to renew the contract.  Happy buck for the Home Depot tire pump that plugged in to the cigarette lighter and refilled the air in their flat tire.
  • Darlyne Erickson - Happy buck for everyone who attended the progressive dinner.
  • Nancy Davis - Happy that she and her siblings finally emptied out their mother's apartment.
  • Jim Martin - Happy buck for kids being home from school.
  • Ron Levitus - Happy that he and his wife had the opportunity to spend time in new Jersey with the grandchildren while their daughter was out of town.
  • Patty Acomb - Happy to be home, happy for her 1st son who is a college freshman being home, and happy that she is starting college visits with her 2nd son.
  • Stacey Quinn - Happy bucks for being grateful for her trip to the Convention in Hamburg, grateful to be back from her trip, and happy for her son graduating high school.
  • Char Murphy - Happy buck for attending the GED ceremony, it was a wonderful event  Also happy her 17 year old granddaughter has a boyfriend, he plays hockey, but doesn't have hockey hair, which is a crying shame.
 
 
 
Dr. Bob introduced Clyde Doepner, a former history teach who became the curator for the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club.
 
Ckyde is the author of the book The Minnesota Twins Through Memorabilia.  Clyde also manages all the club's memorabilia from official game jerseys and caps to letters from US presidents who were invited to throw out first pitches.   Clyde shared many memories and stories about he became the Twins curator and the valuable lesson of the importance of saying "Thank you."
