  • Club dues must be remitted within 210 days else you will be expelled from the club.
  • Four members have met the "Rule of 85" which is 20 years of Rotary service + age; this designation is an attendance perk (allows them to be marked Present even when absent) and does not impact dues.
  • Club pins will be on the table rather than in the speaker's swag.
  • The St. Paul Rotary club is hosting a luncheon with the incoming RI president on Feb. 5, cost is $35.  Nancy has previously sent a link.
  • The Unmapped event raised $265 for the polio fund.
  • Making the news:   Katie and Patty were each featured in separate local news.
  • Jennifer is selling raffle tickets to benefit Hopkins Education; 100 tickets total to be sold with the prize being a fabulous trip!  The drawing is 2/23, contact Jennifer St. Clair if you are interested.

Donna had the lucky numbers, but not the lucky card.

  • Ann - niece will be adopting, and when things happen, they happen quickly!
  • Christine - It's a small world, and she ran into Chris R and family when out for dinner;  granddaughter is off to Amsterdam for school; trip to Palm Desert is rescheduled, but who wants to escape MN in January anyway; Ron is retiring, but not really, as he is starting a new business.
  • Ron - he and Glenn are starting a hedge fund, yes, a fund to plant a hedge on the Canadian border.
  • Dr. Bob - he will be gaining another son, as his daughter is engaged!
  • Lenny - lunch with fellow Rotarians is rewarding in many ways, but not always good for the waistline;   son Evan has his website up for piano lessons.
  • Mac - it looks like Ann is joining the island
  • Regina - the computer ate her MLK presentation, but she delivered it without A/V aid.
  • Dianne - loves the new Rotary website
  • Darlyne - glad to be back

Yes, that Stevie Ray, the co-founder of Stevie Ray's Improv Club.  Stevie Ray has been a corporate speaker for 30 years and has written 10 books, as improv was originally developed for personal growth.

Improv is commonly associated with stand up comedy, but Mr. Ray's workshops challenge the participants to use the whole brain.  In addition, he often gives workshops for domestic violence groups, the homeless and troubled youth, challenging them to be their own advocate and to improve their own lives.

Stevie Ray's offers classes, learn more at https://www.stevierays.org/
