Irene is a professional coach, a mother and grandmother. She has been a member of the Eden Prairie Rotary since 2004 and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
Irene challenged us, as Rotarians, to “be the inspiration.” To ask ourselves: What is our ROTARY ROLE?
Using the idea of a recipe (because of her love of cooking), she broke it down into:
1. Preparation-are you ready to participate?
2.Ingredients-passion, purpose, positivity and people
3.Yield-all of what our collective input results in for our community and our world
4. Time-Everyone has a different “goal” or “passion” that keeps them engaged. Share it.
She concluded using the song “I hope You Dance” as her point of reference for all that we, as Rotarians, can do to accomplish great things and reach big goals.
