Reminder - get your Auction Baskets ready and bring Fully Assembled Baskets to Glen Lake Golf Club Sept 13.
Katie Williams - is hosting an exchange student – Needs 1 or 2 members to take student on a day-trip Sept 21 or  22.
Chris Leick – Resource West needs school supplies (Backpacks, sharpened pencils, etc.) – can be dropped off at IKE, Cub or Resource West. She pasted around sign-up sheet for packing the supplies Aug 21 & 22 from 5:00-7:00
Mark Magney – Needs volunteers to man our booth at the Minnetonka City Open House Tue Oct 9.
Stacy Quinn - Polio Race Day is at Canterbury Park on August 10. Tickets are available from Nancy or Stacy for $10.  This buys entrance, a hot dog and soda. Proceeds come back to our club toward polio.
Nancy Davis – Polio Group is looking for folks to volunteer in India
Mac Hardin needs to know who sent him a $417 dues check with the check name Hartland....
Katie Fisek and Carolyn Anderson were inducted as new members. Glad to have you on-board! – Club size now 61.

Ann Wengronowitz just got back from Las Vegas where she conducted her last association meeting as president.
Nancy Davis is heading on a bike/camping trip to Virginia, MN where she is biking over the largest bridge in MN.
Jim Martin would like to thank Tony and Gerald for their work on his family’s high school “beater” car.
 
 
Ellen J. Kennedy is the founder and Executive Director of World Without Genocide, a human rights organization headquartered at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, St. Paul, MN.
 
She is a past president of the University & Edina Rotary Clubs.
 
Rotary offers Fellowships at 6 universities through the world to promote World Peace. Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops leaders who become catalysts for peace and conflict prevention and resolution. These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation,and all internship and field-study expenses.
 
In just over a decade, the Rotary Peace Centers have  trained more than 900 fellows for careers in   peacebuilding. Many of them are serving as leaders at international organizations or have started their own foundations. They are in over 100 countries. Each year, the Rotary Foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for masters degrees and 50 for certificate studies at premier universities around the world.
 
1) Master’s degree programs: Last 15 to 24 months and require a practical internship of two to three months during the academic break.
2) Professional development certificate program: For experienced professionals and lasts three months with two to three weeks of field study
