Bob H. - update on volunteers needed for shopping cart funder. We need another volunteer for 5pm. We got a raise! We’re getting $500 instead of $400!
Sarah request for help: Our speaker on 12/17 has been featured in the Rotarian and has been to over 400 national parks. He needs a ride to our club for his presentation – public transit does not work well for this trip. He lives in Seward neighborhood and needs a ride to The Marsh and then to a bus stop afterwards.

Happy Bucks
Phil H. - MA daughter and grandson are arriving today for T-giving; today is also his daughter’s her 50th birthday.
Ryan R. - happy to not have lost a finger (from the looks of it a close call) while helping a friend, is heading to SD with some friends tomorrow.
Terry S. - 3 grandkids coming to help cook T-giving dinner, 22 people coming for holidays, including great granddaughters!
Bob H. - we’ve been hosting Thanksgiving for at least 15 years – we can now fit 20 people at the table. My grandson has been sitting on my lap helping me call bingo for 7 years.
Rebeca S. - a couple of weeks ago I presented to the Scouts about voting and different types; they picked up on rank choice voting faster than most others! Last week I was in Salt Lake City at local government conference and got to visit Olympic training center. Impressive that this site has no “Olympic rot” between Olympics like in some other cities.
Jennifer S. - happy bucks for all of you! I employed one of Beth’s Ace Handyman to do some work in our house; he was efficient and was able to get some extra work done during the same time frame. Also grateful for my family all together for Thanksgiving, then 31 people coming on Friday.
Mikey S. - parents drove into town from CO, here for the holiday, big feast with family and friends.
Alexis R. - grateful for those who attended Charter Night and for participating in our games. Thank you to Rebecca for speaking to the Scouts; Rotary connections helped us get great speakers. Also, I have all the wreaths for pickup!
James W. - Made it through 9 games of basketball with kids over the weekend! We are hosting T-giving, grateful that although my Dad has serious medical issues, he doesn’t need any medical intervention at the present time; we will that celebrate tomorrow!
Cathy C. - Yesterday I got my new combo washer/dryer! Ventless! 3 wonderful guys delivered, in and out in 30 min, then this morning, I found a puddle of water and the vent was blowing in cold air.
Program
(presented by Sarah): Don Stiles retired in 2000 as the Chief Tax Officer for ING ReliaStar (now known as VOYA). Don joined the Bloomington Rotary in 2001 and served as its President from 2007-2008. He has held various positions at Rotary District 5950 level including District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, Global Grant Chair, District Grant Chair, STRIVE Chair, and District Grant Treasurer. Don has visited Rotary grant projects in India, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, Guatemala, and Germany (as well as many in the USA). He has administered Polio drops to local children while in India. He has written, reviewed, or resolved hundreds of Rotary grants at the Club, District, and TRF levels over the years. A fun fact, Don performed off-Broadway and toured nationally in musicals as a singer/actor/dancer 48 years ago!
Don’s presentation was informative and dense in content – his deck [available from Mike G. - Ed.] [Don distributed] a listing of past Minnetonka Rotary projects.
Adjournment
Meeting Donations: $31 polio, $185 with happy bucks/half the raffle.
