At our December 13 meeting Professor David Schultz from Hamline will be our guest speaker and the topic and discussion will stem from how young people today think about systems like Capitalism.  Please invite people to join us that day and depending on the size group we expect, we may meet in a different location.

Today’s speaker was Chad Weinstein about Ethical Leaders in Action.  He has a PhD in Philosophy, is a Management Consultant and small business owner.  Rotary is a natural partner in this message.

 

Ethics is about being our best and how to operationalize the concept.  It is empowering others to improve the world.  Chad learned about ethics while watching his children at the playground.  He found that we can jump to negative conclusions when not having all the information and that we need to work to be curious, ask questions and see the good.

 

There are three elements of moral action and he gave examples for moral courage, moral motivation and moral clarity.

 

It was an engaging presentation!
