Bob H. - on Lunds Byerlys Cart Corral service today. The 16 spots for 4 shifts are full, except for a late cancel by Ron Usem. Jerald immediately jumped in for a full squad. Thanks to everyone. We’ll do it again on 12/23
Alexa R. - on Letters of Love. We will be screening love notes to kids with health issues. Look for more info for dates of Dec 12 at 5:30 PM and Dec 13 at 8:30 AM.
Alexa R. - Charter Night on Dec 5 at 30 Bales in Hopkins. 5:00 PM. Food covered by the Club, drinks on your own. Amy will be open at Kiddy Wampus across the street for toy purchases, at a discount.
Phil H. - Mary T is in the hospital with pneumonia. She rallies and then relapses. A card from the club was circulated.
Alexa R. - It’s a lot for Ron to deal with, and we can offer some help. Once she is home, we can spend time with Mary, and give Ron some relief, time away. Look for a sign up process.
Bonnie W. - her daughter is having an art open house on Dec 18 at 4:00 at the Weinstein Gallery, in Mpls. A get-together will follow.

Foundation Award Checks or Thank yous
Foundation Grant; Jessie Peters accepted a $1500 grant from us for the Lift Garage. We heard of this from the director, Kathy, a few weeks ago. It will be used for a specific need, and they are very grateful.

Program
Speakers today, Zoe and Noah from The Pavek Museum
Zoe and Noah are both U of M grads and are applying their knowledge for the Museum. Noah is also a former Rotary Exchange student, with a year in Brazil.
The Pavek holds the history of electronic communication. Earl Bakken (Medtronics), Joe Pavek (Dunwoody) and another opened it in 1988.
The have antique and vintage items, connecting the span of devices from the telegraph to the cell phone.
The museum describes the science and the art of communication.
The Pavek also offers several educational and public programs for all ages. It’s a great place to bring young people to show how far things have changed. It also offers broadcast experience for career interests.
They work with Repair Right to allow home repairs, they teach the principles of ElectroMagnetism and sound effects.
Programs such as Pavek after Dark, Havoc at the Pavek are popular, as well as a Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Several well-known MN personalities put on an annual radio show, which is then sent out for replays.
The Pavek also has a sister museum called the Bakken. They provide outreach to schools to ‘spark’ interest.
Coding is especially interesting, as a career, very necessary today.
About 4-5000 people visit the Pavek annually.
