Rotary Minute
Cathy C. Philosophy of 4 Way Test should guide us. If it was used by all nations there would be no war, crime or hunger. Let’s use the 4 Way Test for international peace and goodwill.
From Cathy C. -
Lord of the Universe - Help us to understand that no matter what name is given and in what language it is expressed, the philosophy of our The Four Way Test is indeed the most true guidepost by which we should mark the trails of our existence here….
Remind us that if that concept were universally held as a standard, by the people of all nations and faiths, there would be no wars, no hunger, no crimes one against the other…
We pray that you continue to bless the work that we as Rotarians, from many nations and many faiths, do to help those less fortunate, for we believe that one manifestation of our Four Way Test is in our motto – Service Above Self.
Please give us an international time of peace on earth, good will towards men, inspired by our great leaders and philosophers who themselves were inspired by you, Oh Lord.
And finally, we ask you to guide those who, as our government leaders, make their daily decisions that affect us, so that their efforts, whether international or local, shall be motivated by this same great rule of charity and good will. Thank you Lord. Amen.

Program
Mary Kay Ziniewicz / Bus Stop Mamas
First Rotary presentation.
Idea for Bus Stop Mamas came from spouse being a stay at home parent but wanted to contribute. Businesses need access to talent of parents who stay at home.
Needed to find a way to help stay at home parents connect with businesses. In 2015 forecasts showed not enough people to fill jobs in 2020. Started to talk to business owners and heard that things were fine so tabled idea and watched the market.
In December 2018 market shifted and business need workers 7 million job vacancies but only 6 million available.
In January 2019, need a website and daughter built the website for Bus Stop Mamas in one hour.
5000 moms in website. Business post flexible vacancies and network pushes out vacancies to network. Mom’s self-select if opportunity works for them and are introduced.
If business hires then business is billed and that is how BSM is paid.
Range of jobs available is very broad.
An early success, business needed an opthamologist and within one day found an opthamologist that is now part of the company’s leadership team.
We find jobs to help Moms that fit with their schedules. We focus on moms but dads are included as well.
Several other examples of success were shared.
Bus Stop Mamas is a movement and a business and was chosen as one of the top seven start ups in Minnesota. Planning to be national in the next five years. Have jobs available throughout the U.S.A.
Moms can join the network to receive job posting without cost by going through the website.
