- Discussed the voting process and bylaw provisions regarding the Secretary-Elect position, where the winner garners the majority of votes (note, it's votes that are counted, not members), allowing for a run off between the top 2 vote getters if there is no majority after the first round, after the run off, if there is a tie then the winner will be determined by a coin flip, which Ron Usem has graciously volunteered to do if needed.

- Cathy Carson - under the guise of "cleaning the Scottsdale house" managed to fit in a trip to AZ, but things did not go as planned, and was happy to get back to MN.
- Regina Reed - Recollected her meeting with President Bush 41 at a fundraiser and wished everyone a blessed Christmas.
The speakers today are 2 juniors and 1 senior from HHS and MHS. They belong to their school Earth Clubs and more recently began working with MCI.
iMatter is a national climate change organization, of which Minnesota has 12 chapters, made up primarily of youth across the country taking meaningful action for the environment. Positive steps are in place, including meeting with city councils. A frequent question is, "What are you doing, or plan to do, about our future?"
The speakers listed several goals of MCI, of which zero emissions and renewable energy are paramount. They meet monthly, and are on social media and at community events. They have a goal of passing a resolution by April 2019 to improve the cities' timing and actions to address climate change.
When comparing their efforts to other programs with youth around the country, Minnesota is a leader, and with the work of Lia, Skyler and Gabby should very well find their way nationally.
