Program

Mike Glover and golf committee members spent the balance of our meeting talking about our “Links and Libations” Fundraiser, the upcoming golf event on September 11.  Highlights:

Mike said that the Golf Committee had its fourth meeting on Monday (8/4). There was lots of energy at that meeting with some newer members on the committee. The next Golf Meeting scheduled for August 19. All club members are members of this Golf Committee and encouraged to join the meeting.

Ann talked about our Theme Baskets for the silent auction. We would like 20 to 25 baskets in the silent auction with a value of each basket to be $100 to $200. Every club member should sign up to make a donation to a basket. We need the baskets complete and delivered to Ann by August 27.

Chris Rosenlund talked about sponsorships. Every member should try to send an email and brochure to 3 to 5 prospective sponsors. The sample email and brochure has been delivered to all club members by email.

Alexa talked about our brochure and the QR code, on the brochure, for golf registration or sponsorship opportunities. This is a very simple process.

Cathy talked about the silent auction. Every club member should try to donate at least one item for the silent auction. Items may include; tickets to sporting events or the theater, games, gift cards, timeshares for vacation spots, etc.

Bill talked about the BEER. We need more beer for pouring at the event. If anyone knows of other breweries, please reach out to them. The current list of breweries is on the brochure.

Jerald talked about the raffle. Our goal is to sell 1,200 tickets. If you wish to promote the event and ticket sales at other Rotary Clubs coordinate this with Jerald.

Traci is coordinating the “Buckets of Booze”. We have one bucket full. We need three buckets for the event. All club members are encouraged to donate a bottle. You can bring it to upcoming meetings. The value of the bottle should be $15 to $30.

This is our “One and Only” Fundraiser! Our goal this year is to raise $50,000.

Adjournment

Today we raised $54 with Happy Bucks and the raffle.
