Announcements
Tony N. - he is working on the acoustics in the room. In the meantime, be quiet during the meetings, and stand by the Owl for best sound for the Zoom attendees.
We will do a Visioning session this year. He wants a committee of new and ‘seasoned’ members for new ideas and direction.
Alexa R. - wants photos for our website, take them at our gatherings and send them to her.
Tony N. - wants a Quorum at Board Meetings. Those as committee chairs are asked to have cohort who can not only share and learn the work, but also have the position represented at the meetings. Alissa will lead us at next week’s meeting.
Mike G. given his Past-President pin for the banner in the room.
Several members stood and held the oversized $2,800 check we netted form Summerfest.
Ann W. - the next Fundraiser meeting is on Monday, August 7 at 5:00 at Tuttles
Also, start bringing bottles of wine and spirits to the next few meetings for auction items.
Alexa R. - she named several members who have signed up 1 or 2 Platinum sponsors for the event. Be sure to remind your sponsor that they have 4 golfers and 4 guests included in their Platinum
Mike G. - a Club Foundation meeting is next on Monday, July 31 at noon on Zoom.
Frank B. - Scott Brink will now be serving on the International arm of our Foundation

Program -
Speaker; Pam Koehler, a Special Ed Para-Professional , and moreover, Mary T’s youngest daughter Pam works primarily with 2-5 year old kids in early development.
Minnesota takes early learning very seriously. There are huge changes and rapid development in these early years.
Her work is measured by ECIP; (Early Children’s Indicators of Progress).
It covers many areas, including movement, speech, language, math, the arts, and social and emotional development.
At age 3, guideposts are sentences, interacting, learning routines, stories, and hands use.
At age 4, talking in conversation, songs, finding solutions, creativity, card and board games.
Every child gets an IEP (Individual Education Plan) which applies to their unique skills and deficits.
Every activity is intentional in the classroom. Praise and ’thumbs ups’ are given out freely.
Schedules and even getting in lines are important. The more advanced kids can actually be leaders on their own.
Thank you, Pam, for your very important work with these early years with kids. Truly what you do makes a difference. And thank you, Mary, for inviting your daughter here today.
