The Rotary Club of Beaumont, TX, is a large and diverse fellowship of inspired business, professional, and civic leaders with significant community connections that foster the ideals of Service Above Self and high ethical standards.
Jonathon McClellan serves as the Director of External and Legislative Affairs for AT&T Texas, working with state and local governments throughout Southeast Texas. He will share information about the advantages of having the AT&T fiber optics network in Beaumont.
Jon brings with him a decade of experience with state and national governments, political campaigns, legislative work and advocacy to the AT&T External and Legislative Affairs team.
Prior to joining AT&T Jon served as Director of Outreach for Public Blueprint, a Texas based public affairs firm, and led integrated public affairs campaigns for a wide array of corporate clients using best practices learned from a decade on the campaign trail.

At the Wednesday, September 25th Rotary meeting, Juan Zabala spoke about the partnership between Lamar University and Becky and Chuck Mason to create a specialized program called the Mason STEM Initiative. "Wine Down With Rotary"

The 2019 Wine Down With Rotary was an awesome event and thoroughly enjoyed by Rotarians and guests alike! We are still gathering invoices and tabulating the income to determine the amount we raised but by initial reports, it was very successful!
As you know, the profits from this annual fundraiser are directed to the Beaumont Rotary Foundation for our service work which includes community projects, sending high school students to RYLA, funding for the college and non-traditional scholarships, literacy projects with Martin Elementary, disaster relief, and international support of the End Polio Now campaign.
Kudos to Chair Kathleen Alsup on bringing together an amazing team to serve as the planning committee this year! Everyone on this committee was "all in" and committed to doing whatever it took to make this event enjoyable and successful.
Immense appreciation goes to the Wine Down With Rotary sponsors. We really could not have been successful without your generosity.
Thank you to Rotarians who donated raffle items and bottles of wine for the Wine Pull. Both added fun and excitement to the event as well as generating revenue.
