Nominees must be a member in good standing of the Rotary Club of Beaumont.
Nominees will have exhibited high ethical standards in their chosen vocation arising from a specific incident or by their consistent actions over a period of time.

First presented in 1996, the T. Kelsey Lamb, Sr. Award for Business Ethics has annually recognized some of the Club's outstanding members. In 2024, this prestigious honor was presented to Roger McCabe.

Christina Majdalani Lokey, Economic Development Manager with the City of Beaumont, was introduced by Virtue Alexander as keynote speaker at the February 19 meeting of the Rotary Club of Beaumont.
Ms. Lokey encouraged Rotarians and guests to become ‘Placemakers’. Placemakers are people who help shape and enhance public spaces and drive revitalization efforts for residents, businesses, and visitors. Placemakers are at the heart of “Destination Development for communities. Ms. Lokey reminded us of the many community assets that residents of the Greater Beaumont Area enjoy including Infrastructure, Transportation and Natural Resources to name a few. Although we have assets that would make other communities jealous, Christina stated that we do have needs. We need a backyard! The Backyard is the fourth phase of the ‘Downtown Plan’ that is a vital part of the Community Investment Plan (CIP). The CIP is the multi-year strategic plan which will help city leaders to identify, prioritize, budget and plan major city projects and improvements. The completion of Phase 3 of the Downtown Plan, the rehabilitation of the Riverfront Park bank, should be completed sometime in the March / April timeframe. Phase 4 will be the Hotel & Convention Center which is currently being studied by the consultant Stonehenge Holdings.
John Rollins served as Meeting Greeter, Jacque Gagne and Jeff Beaver supervised the Finance table, and Larry Beaulieu oversaw Technology for virtual attendees. Robert Kocot delivered the meeting Invocation, Misty Fountain led pledges to USA and Texas Flags, and John Lee introduced meeting guests. Roger McCabe reminded Rotarians to submit nominations for the T. Kelsey Lamb, Sr. Award for Business Ethics. President-Elect Uliana Trylowsky delivered Red Badges to two new members. President Michael Perez complimented fellow Rotarians who participated in the February 17 President’s Day “Show Your Colors” Flag Project. Guests were invited to attend a 10-minute Informational Coffee in the adjoining Veranda Room to learn more about membership in Rotary, and Jacque Gagne invited Rotarians to attend the Rotary Goes to School Committee Meeting, after the Rotary meeting. Amanda Ellis reminded Rotarians to attend Rotary After Hours February 20 at Brentwood Country Club.
