A gathering of Mr. McCabe’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with his Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. His obituary can be found HERE.
Moving: Beginning Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the Rotary Club of Beaumont will return to downtown Beaumont in the Neches Room. The move represents both a return to the club's roots and opportunity. to be part of the continuing renaissance taking place in downtown Beaumont.

Installation of President Jay Wilson, Jr.
Program Review: Debbie Maxwell
The first meeting of the new Rotary year was held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The noon meeting was called to order by 2025-2026 club president Uliana Trylowsky with a special guest present, Past District Governor Amy Killgore. This meeting is also the final time that Beaumont Rotary will have a weekly meeting in the MCM Elegante’ Ballroom.
Joining Uliana and Amy at the head table were Sheree Pierce providing the Invocation, Joe Evans leading in the pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags, as well as Josh Davis introducing our guests.
Announcements:
*Uliana expressed her thanks for the committee involved in her Swan Song last week – it was a lovely and very fun evening.
*There will be no noon meeting on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 – all Rotarians are encouraged to attend the funeral service for Roger McCabe and to show support to Sharon McCabe. The funeral will be 11am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
*For the Wednesday meeting on July 15 and thereafter, the Rotary meetings will be held at noon, downtown at the Neches Room.
*A few weeks ago donations were made to Rotary International on behalf of all members, of which you may have received an email receipt. These donations are done annually at the end of the Rotary fiscal year.
*Paul Harris Fellows were awarded to Brad Brown and Michael Perez.
Today’s speaker, Past District Governor, Amy Killgore, made some comments before the Installation of officers.
Amy shared that a Rotary meeting should be held in accordance of Dignity, Harmony and Fellowship. She stated that all clubs have a complete change in leadership annually which helps to provide growth and service for the new year.
Every officer and Board member were called up to verbally express their willingness to accept the responsibilities for their newly voted/appointed positions for the 2026-27 club year.
After the leadership positions were installed, all former Club Presidents present were asked to line up in order of years served and to “Pass the Gavel” to signify the change in command and show their support for the new club President, Jay Wilson Jr.
The microphone was then turned over to President Jay Wilson Jr. who introduced his theme for the year of: “Service In, Impact out”. Jay identified every friend and family that he had present today including his wife, parents, children, grandchildren; as well as his “boss” at the Chamber of Commerce, Amy Lovoi. He also expressed appreciation to his wife Amy for the many ways that she supported his involvement with Rotary including attending so many events with him – in appreciation Jay awarded Amy with a Paul Harris Fellows.
After a meeting full of enthusiastic members being appointed to leadership of the club, the members all stood and recited the 4-way pledge and thereby this meeting was adjourned.
