Carrie Myers is a leader with over two decades of experience driving growth and securing essential partnerships and resources for nonprofit organizations serving youth. Her career is marked by a consistent record of exceeding fundraising goals, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering organizational expansion, all with a focus on enhancing the lives of youth. Currently, as the National Director of Partnership & Growth at Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), Carrie has worked with a team to develop a multi-year growth blueprint, transform national partnership dynamics, and launch a digital Partnership Marketplace.
Clyde McGuire is an alumnus of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region, located in Cleveland TN. His first paid job in the Club was serving as the Lifeguard. His job duties have included bus driver, P.E. Director, Program Director and Unit Director. Prior to joining the national staff, Clyde served as the Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama and grew the organization from an annual budget of slightly over $100,000 to an annual budget of 8.5 million dollars, serving over 10,000 youth in 15 locations.
During his first years as a Regional Service Director with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Clyde opened over 100 new units/extensions/new organizations in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. According to Clyde, “the Boys & Girls Club is a place of miracles for children; it certainly was for me. In my case, it was a double benefit, not only as a club member, but also as a staff member. I have been privileged to work with some of the most passionate, committed individuals to be found anywhere! I have also been fortunate to have had some excellent role models along the way that have lent their support, and wisdom. Their LEADING BY EXAMPLE has set a standard that continues to yield positive results for children, throughout the country”.
Andre Arrington has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement for 33 Years.
Andre is the Lead Director of Organizational Development for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Southwest Region. His previous role was Director of Organizational Development for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Midwest Region. He has been instrumental in serving local clubs in Indiana and Kentucky. Before joining Boys & Girls Clubs of America, he served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club in Champaign, Illinois, and the Boys & Girls Club of Danville in Danville, Illinois.

Carrie Meyers, Boys and Girls Club of America
Members of the Rotary Club of Beaumont went back to school. Back to Martin Elementary to be specific. In a project named, ‘Rotary Goes to School’, Rotarians prepped and distributed book bags to the fifth graders at Martin Elementary on the last day of the school year. The project, organized by Jacques Gagne and Diane Adrian Thompson, had several components, including a previous phase where the students were able to select ten books that would later be personalized for them to read during the summer break. Program review: Sheree Pierce
President Uliana Trylowsky led the meeting of the Rotary Club of Beaumont, conducting technical tests and welcoming attendees. She announced that Diane Thompson would lead the invocation, Brooke Morrow would handle the pledges, and Gigi Mazzola would manage guest introductions.
Rotary Club Member Updates
Uliana opened the meeting with a message about compassion and community service, welcoming guests including Eric West, Daniela Ramirez, James Corley, Shanna Briggs, and visiting Rotarian Kay DeCuier. The club received a thank you card from scholarship recipient Jonathan Edgerly expressing gratitude for the scholarship and community support. The conversation ended with the introduction of new member Paula McGough, who works at Revive Recovery Center and was welcomed to the club, followed by an announcement about Memorial Day flag placement volunteering and the introduction of Tyler Marceau who would present the non-traditional scholarship.
Scholarship Presentation and Program Update
Tyler Marceaux presented the non-traditional scholarship to Daniela Ramirez, who is pursuing a degree in dental hygiene at LIT while balancing being a new parent. Daniela expressed gratitude to her family, particularly her mother who cares for her daughter, and thanked God for supporting her educational journey. Jacques Gagne announced that the Rotary Goes to School program would take place at Martin Elementary on Friday at 8:30 AM, with Rotarians needed to help distribute books to students starting at 10 AM.
Bone Marrow Donation Awareness Initiative
Stephanie Harris introduced our speaker, Kayla West, who shared her personal journey of becoming a bone marrow donor and founding the Southeast Texas Leukemia Organization, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing awareness about bone marrow donation and supporting local families facing leukemia and lymphoma. She described how a simple decision to swab at a concert led to her donating bone marrow to a 10-year-old girl named Molly, whom she later met at a DKMS gala in New York. Kayla explained that the organization's mission includes growing the donor registry and supporting families in need, and she encouraged attendees to consider joining the registry or supporting the nonprofit's efforts.
Uliana closed the meeting with with the club making a donation to Rotary International in the healthcare area in Kayla's honor, recitation of The 4 Way test and ringing the Rotary Bell.
