The Rotary Club of Beaumont celebrated their annual Holiday Party at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas on 12/16. The gala was chaired by club Past President, Lynn P. Castle and a great supporting caste to create a fun and festive event for everyone. Rotarians were generous with the donation of gifts and gift cards for the residents of the Women and Children's Shelter. The staff of the Art Museum of Southeast Texas generously participated in giving.
By tradition, the club announced the club President Nominee at the Holiday party. Rebekah Maxwell, Marketing Consultant at ReStep Marketing, will serve as club President during the 2023-24 year. Ms. Maxwell, a Rotarian since June 2016, was well-known to the club even before then as a member of the Lamar University Rotaract Club. In a short amount of time, she has served in several leadership roles for the club as well as District 5910. Congratulations, Rebekah!
Many thanks to Rotarian, Dr. James Han who led us in several holiday carols. The Beaumont Rotary Chorus was a huge success. Dr. Han was assisted by pianist Betty Duncan, who is always a joy to have with us.
One final shoutout goes to Dena Reed, owner of Dena's Sweetly Unique Cakes who provided a BEAUTIFUL cake for dessert.
