Hosts Needed! October 26-30 will be Rotary Goes Home meetings!
Rotary Goes Home is the popular fun event where the weekly Rotary meeting is moved to Rotarian homes. Lunch, light dinner, cocktails/appetizer party - it's the host's choice.
Please give Michael Perez a call and let him know you want to host a Rotary party!
Thank you from Nutrition and Services for Seniors!
A L-O-N-G expanse of fence built, 15 over-sized planting beds marked, 520 cinder blocks in place and level - all these are some of the tasks completed by the volunteers who worked at Nutrition and Services for Seniors since the first workday back in the early summer months.
Executive Director Elaine Shellenberger sent a thank you letter to President Pat and all those who volunteered on the Garden Project. Please click on the image below to read the letter in full screen.
Interact and Rotaract clubs are joining together to pack toiletry bags for local youth rescued from human trafficking. Please help by saving small personal care items such as soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, ponytail bands, combs, and hairbrushes. You can bring donations to any meeting and we will see that it is given to the youth organizations.
The first wine-tasting event to benefit the Beaumont Rotary Foundation and the education projects it funds, "Wine Down With Rotary," took place on Thursday, October 1 at the Beaumont Event Centre and it was a tremendous success! The event served as the weekly meeting obligation for Rotarians, and since we don't normally serve wine at our meetings, it was a very enjoyable one!
Inspired by President Pat Anderson, the event recognized the Board of Managers and raised funds for our education projects. While we are still gathering invoices and working on final numbers, we can report that there were approximately 300 people who enjoyed this first time event.
We are very grateful to the many Rotarians and friends who are sponsors and underwriters for the event. You're the best! The final list is shown below. Please click on image below to see it full screen. Please patronize these businesses if appropriate and otherwise express thanks to those who have personally donated.
